Things I’ve Learned Along the Way
My goal is to support and guide you through this process while also helping you feel informed and empowered along the way.
Having someone who understands the deeper connections between gut health, nutrition, lifestyle, and overall wellness can make the journey feel much less overwhelming. At the same time, I believe education is an important part of the process.
Take your time reviewing the information provided. If it makes sense, wonderful. If something feels confusing, that may be a sign to pause, ask questions, and continue learning!
Why a GI-Map?
The GI MAP is a DNA-based stool test that provides an in depth, personalized, detailed analysis of the gut microbiome. It helps uncover imbalances, hidden infections, and functional issues that conventional tests often miss.
These are the missing pieces to your puzzle that we’ll use to help create a plan to rebalance and rebuild your gut!
+ Zonulin
Why do I add the Zonulin marker on my GI MAP?
Zonulin is a marker that helps us understand the integrity of your gut lining. When it’s compromised it’s often referred to as “leaky gut.”
The GI-MAP shows us what is happening inside the gut (like bacteria, pathogens, and inflammation), and zonulin helps explain how well the gut barrier is functioning!
Meat stock is vital for gut health because it’s rich in gelatin and collagen, which help heal intestinal damage and reduce inflammation.
It’s low histamine content makes it easier to digest, especially for sensitive individuals.
By promoting the growth of healthy gut bacteria, it also boosts immune function, making it an excellent choice for those with conditions like IBS or leaky gut.
Meat Stock
It may not be a topic people love talking about, but your stool can tell you a lot about what's happening inside your gut!
The appearance, frequency, and consistency of bowel movements can offer important clues about digestion, nutrient absorption, hydration status, and overall gut health. That's why I encourage all of my clients to become familiar with what healthy stools should look like.
While a quick Google search may tell you that pooping three times per week is "normal," normal doesn't always mean optimal. Ideally, we want to see comfortable, well-formed bowel movements every day. Your poop is talking- it's worth paying attention to what it's saying!

If there's one supplement I'll always advocate for, it's omega 3s.
These essential fatty acids play a critical role in supporting heart health, brain function, mood, and overall well-being. They also help support a healthy inflammatory response, promote a balanced gut microbiome, and can even contribute to better sleep quality.
The best food sources include wild-caught salmon, herring, mackerel, sardines, and anchovies.
If you're not regularly consuming fatty fish- ideally 2–3 servings per week- an omega 3 supplement may be worth considering to help fill the gap.
Small nutrient. Big impact.
